Our memories of FS2
w/c 9th July 2020
This week we have designed a booklet which can be completed by each child. The idea is to take some time together to look through your child’s Tapestry Learning Journey and re-live some of the wonderful things that we have been doing this year. It also gives an opportunity to think about moving into Year 1 and to talk about how you and your child feel about this transition. Please remember that we are here to support you and your new class teacher will be working really hard to make sure that everything is well prepared for your arrival in September. Any completed booklets can be photographed and added to your child’s Tapestry journey, as these will continue in September and can be accessed by their new teachers.
If you would like to collect a printed copy of the booklet to complete at home, please send a Class Dojo message to Mrs Royle who will arrange for one to be made available at the main school reception.
Somebody Swallowed Stanley
W/B 6th July
This week we are looking at the book ‘Somebody swallowed Stanley’. This will lead us nicely into understanding recycling and talking about plastic pollution. There are various activities throughout the week for you to discuss what different objects are made from and how we can reuse them. In Maths we are looking at counting reliably to 20 and beyond, the activities will include lots of formation practise too! Should you need anything throughout the week please Dojo message one of us. Have a wonderful week everyone!
