Nursery

About us
St Alban’s Nursery has been offering high quality pre-school care for over 25 years. We offer the 15 hour funded sessions for 3 and 4 year olds, and have more recently added the 30 hour childcare offer. We pride ourselves on offering flexible and affordable childcare; not limiting parents to choose between mornings, afternoons or set days but instead allowing people to choose childcare which suits their individual situations.

Our session times are:
Mornings – 8.45 – 11.45
Afternoons – 12.30 – 3.30
We also offer lunchtime sessions which can be included within the 15 or 30 hours funding.

Parents are able to choose any combination of sessions, subject to availability. We do require sessions to be booked in advance and may be amended termly.

Our Curriculum

In our nursery, we use the development matters ages and stages to regularly assess and track the progress of each child, this means that we can create a personalised curriculum for everybody. For more information on development matters, or our curriculum, please click the links below.

Before and after school club and holiday club

We are extremely lucky to have our very own on-site breakfast, after school and holiday club run by First Friends Private Day Nursery. This means that we are able to support working parents with their childcare from 7.30am to 6pm across the whole year. We work closely with the team at First Friends to ensure that the learning opportunities offered to the children are closely linked to the learning taking place in school, and 30 hour funding can be split between both providers.
